I am a recovering addict. I found that after rehab, I didn't have any help for transitioning into society.
I have found there is little help for recovering people transitioning into society.
Before entering recovery addicts have survived in the addict world, or have resided in isolation.
after entering recovery addicts realize they have not developed the skills needed for functioning in society.
I am developing a program which would help addicts transition into society. The program will
link recovering people up with community resources. I would like to develop contacts with businesses
who would be willing to give addicts job.
I believe by helping addicts transition into society, that the relapse rate would be greatly reduced.
Most addicts have not developed social skills, life care skills, money management skills.
